Wokefield Park Reading Wedding Photographer: Sarah and Jason
It was a pleasure to witness Sarah and Jason celebrate their wedding in October at the newly renovated Wokefield Park, Reading. If you are looking for a lively, fun and brilliant wedding party, then look no further!
Sarah was the picture of a calm and relaxed bride, the getting ready in the morning was a breeze and everyone relaxed with a glass of champagne in hand. Sarah had designed the best type of wedding shoes – white converse – and had them personalised with her new name in dismantles! Comfy shoes for the win!
The weather was sadly not on our side, but we made use of the beautiful rooms at Wokefield for group photographs and braved the wind and rain for a couple of portraits and the big bridal party group with umbrellas – you need to just go with the weather on your big day and this couple certainly embraced it; before we all ran back indoors and warmed up by the fire!
A beautiful day and a few of our favourite images to match below – these are some of the photographs the couple chose for the wedding album; from photographing their wedding to album delivery = 6 weeks!!! Unheard of – we love an organised bride!!
As mentioned, Wokefield Park hotel has been completely transformed. Their website states – Following a £20 million restoration throughout whether you choose to stay at Wokefield Place, Wellington Lodge or the estate’s historic Mansion House. There has been an estate at Wokefield since the first house was built in the 1560s for the wealthy Plowden family. Set in 250 acres of Berkshire parkland, its history is etched in the different architectural features that greet you throughout.
There are so many picturesque locations from the sweeping drive, a stunning lake, picturesque gardens and an elegant Victorian mansion house set the tone at this leading wedding venue in Reading, Berkshire. For larger weddings up to 300, the Terrace Suite in the Mansion House is ideal for a grand celebration along with direct access onto a private terrace overlooking the lake – perfect for photo opportunities. For more intimate weddings, the Palmer Suite and Old Lounge are popular choices with brides, with their feature ceilings, chandeliers and stunning views across the lake lawn. In the summer, the marquee on the manicured lawns with lake views makes a wonderful space for a celebration.
