Top 5 Wedding Blogs You Need to Know…
As a Berkshire Wedding Photographer, I am always in talks with my couples about wedding ideas. I often receive emails every week asking opinions on themes or recommending suppliers. As I have been in this industry for 16 years, I have a list of wonderful suppliers that I have worked with many times, so that is my first port of call. But themes is a little different as themes change so quickly.
One of the best resources I send onto them is a list of UK Wedding Bloggers that I resonate with; and know my clients will as well. The blogs are great if you have a few minutes on your lunch break to read through real life weddings and shoot blogs. However, if you just want to scroll through pretty images and garner ideas for your upcoming wedding; then Instagram pages are the way to go.
The following 5 wedding blogs are my top favourites where I get lost in the prettiness of Instagram. Have a read through and see what you think; are you the funky, vibrant colourful bride to be? Or understated, simple, classic elegance?
The choice is yours and we cannot wait to hear what you do choose!
Love My Dress
Love My Dress is the quintessential British wedding blog. A peak at their website and social media shows a vast range of traditional mixed with contemporary touches of wedding style; all with beautiful colour palettes.
Elegant, charming, classic with a hint of bohemian are all an influence on Love My Dress blog. Do any of those words resonate with you? Have a scroll through their Instagram to see more.
Little Book UK Wedding Directory is a big part of their website and hosts luxury wedding suppliers from across the globe. You can browse the suppliers or filter your search for the type of wedding supplier you are looking for or for the location. We have been a part of Little Book for a while; it is a valuable resource for all you planning couples.
Rock My Wedding
I first found out about Rock My Wedding when I purchased their book in Fenwicks; it was an impulse buy as a wedding photographer rather than prospective planning bride, but the cover and colour of the book jumped out at me – my favourite colours! The saying never judge a book by its cover didn’t apply in this instance as the book looked great and loved the content inside.
Rock My Wedding is the biggest wedding blog and planning resource in the UK, it is jam packed full of wonderful tips and photographic inspiration. Chic, unique and boho weddings are popular images on their pages; dresses and florals to die for!
Whimsical Wonderland Weddings
Even just looking at Whimsical Wonderland Wedding’s logo on their website, will show you funky fonts and bright, bright rainbow colours! Yay for colour!
Their website and social media I would say is all about boho chic with a twist of different – you cannot help become captivated by the images that the girls post on their Instagram.
Authentic couples and wonderful reactions are the name of the game when it comes to their couple shots.
Want that Wedding
Want that Wedding is a wonderful resource for real brides and grooms looking for the most stunning inspiration from weddings across the UK. Encouraging couples from all walks and of different styles, as long as it is a wedding, it will fit the bill!

I get lost on their Instagram feed by the pretty wedding and dream of what we would do if we were to renew our vows! I also direct our wedding photography couples to their Instagram page too if they are struggling on ideas. It’s a fab resource.
Little Wedding Helper
Little Wedding Helper are in-fact a wedding decor and styling company in Bristol, but I utterly adore their Instagram page. Full of bright colours, thoughtful attention to details and bang on trends like mirrored table plans and floral arches; they are the perfect inspo for all 2019 and 2020 funky brides.
Favourite ideas on their Instagram: seasonal pumpkin table scape, hot chocolate bar for chilly weddings and the agate stone slices for table place names that inject colour into your theme. Why not pair them with a geode gemstone wedding cake – would be a gorgeous theme.
