One of the most beautiful weddings; fabulous couple, that light and beautiful venue – it all comes together!
Melisa and Neil married at their local family church and then moved onto The Oxfordshire Gold & Spa Hotel in Thame, a beautiful modern building set in the Oxfordshire countryside with acres of greenery surrounding us; it was just utter bliss.
The happy couple had planned a few little extras to surprise guests throughout the day including a traditional cake pull. Similar to the throwing of the bouquet; all the single ladies (did you sing Beyonce there?!) stand around the cake where there are cords that have been backed in the cake, but just enough to pull from the cake like a Christmas cracker! At the end of one lucky cord is a charm for the winner! It was a really fun moment for guests and Melisa moved straight onto the bouquet toss and her sister caught it! Such fun.
When you plan a wedding that is at “multi sites” 1) brides home, 2) church and 3) reception venue; you need to ensure that you have time for your photographs in between the driving from one location to another. In this instance, we always recommend that our couples head out at sunset, or golden hour to get that lovely golden hue to your portraits. This is generally after the wedding breakfast, so make sure you have a napkin! But I am sure you agree that it is well worth it to pop outdoors to get some fresh air and have the chance to spend the time together just the 2 of you.
Here are a few of our favourite images from the day, would love to hear what your favourites are!
